Cleaned up my inbox, finally

I finally got around to trying Clean Email after hearing about it. My inbox was a total disaster, thousands of old emails. Used the Bulk Email Deleter and it actually worked pretty well. Took a bit to figure out what I wanted to keep, but it did the job. My inbox feels so much lighter now.

Decent tool for email management

I purchased the annual subscription for Clean Email to tackle years of accumulated emails across two accounts. The initial setup was straightforward enough, and connecting my Gmail accounts went smoothly. I primarily used the Inbox Cleaner and the Unsubscriber. The Inbox Cleaner did a good job identifying old emails and newsletters, and I appreciated the 'Smart Views' which helped categorize things. Deleting thousands of emails felt a bit scary, but it worked. The Unsubscriber is probably my favorite feature; it's quite effective. I also checked out the Email Privacy Monitor, which was interesting. Delivery of the service is instant since it's software. Customer support wasn't needed, which is always a good sign. Overall, it's a solid tool for anyone overwhelmed by their inbox.

Useful, but some small issues

I bought Clean Email mainly for the Bulk Email Deleter and the Unsubscriber, and it did help me clear out a lot of old junk. The interface was mostly easy to navigate, and I liked seeing all the categories. However, I found the mobile app a bit less intuitive than the desktop version; it felt a little clunky at times, especially when trying to do bulk actions. Also, the 'Read Receipts' feature was a bit hard to get working perfectly with my setup. Still, for the main task of cleaning up a messy inbox, it was quite effective and saved me a lot of time. Good value for what it offers.

Good for unsubscribing

Used the Unsubscriber tool. It identified many subscriptions. Easy to select and unsubscribe. My inbox is less cluttered. Worth it for that feature alone.

Consistently good service

I've been using Clean Email for about two years now, and this recent renewal was as smooth as ever. I opted for the annual plan again. The Multi-account Management is key for me, keeping both my personal and work emails tidy. I mostly rely on the Auto Clean and Cleaning Suggestions features to keep things manageable. It's just consistently reliable; no surprises, which is what I want from a service like this. It does what it says it will do every time.

Can I use Clean Email for my work Outlook and my personal Gmail at the same time with one subscription?

C Cleo Romero 1 month ago
Yep, you can link multiple accounts to one subscription. I use it for two Gmails and an Outlook account, works fine.

How does Clean Email stack up against Unroll.me? Used Unroll.me before but it felt a bit clunky.

M Megan J. 2 months ago
Clean Email is way better for actual organization beyond just unsubscribing. It's got more features for cleaning up old stuff and automating filters.

I switched from Unroll.me to Clean Email and much prefer the interface and how it handles bulk deletion. Unroll.me felt a bit basic after a while.

Got a student ID, any chance of a discount for that?

C Carly 1 month ago
Pretty sure they have a student discount! Check their site, I remember seeing it mentioned.

Yeah, I think they do. And non-profits too, if I remember correctly.

Wondering about the annual vs. monthly price. Is there a big difference or just a few bucks?

C Carly 1 month ago
It's a pretty significant saving if you go annual. Like, 20-30% usually. Worth it if you plan to use it for more than a few months.

Definitely cheaper annually. It's not just a small amount, you save a good chunk over the year.

Thinking about grabbing Clean Email but not sure if it's really safe. Like, does it just go through all your emails and store them somewhere?

P Paula Ito 2 months ago
Nah, it doesn't store your actual emails. It just looks at the headers and stuff to figure out what's what. It's pretty secure.

S Steve T. 2 months ago
They say on their site they don't store your content, just metadata to help sort things. Used it with my Gmail for a while now, no issues.

Is there a limit to how many emails it can delete? My inbox is a nightmare with like 50k+ messages.

R Rachel Silva 2 months ago
Nope, no limit to how many it can delete. It's built for exactly that kind of mess. Go for it!

T Tom Walsh 2 months ago
I had way more than that and it handled it no problem. It just takes a bit to scan everything initially, but deleting is fast.

Hey, anyone know if Clean Email has a Black Friday deal usually? Don't want to buy now if a big discount is coming soon.

C Cleo 2 months ago
Yeah, they almost always do a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. I got my annual plan cheaper last year during that time.

J June 2 months ago
I think they usually do, for sure. New Year's too sometimes. Might be worth waiting a bit if you're not in a rush.
